Dubious teachers’ regularization rejected in present form. However, the official letter of the state government clarified that the recent order/notification of School Education department, regularizing or reappointing and posting teachers who were under investigations by SIT of Vigilance Commission, is already in obeyance, and would not be implemented in future also in it present form. The state government also agreed that all the teacher posts that had transferred out of the eastern districts in the past would be restored by creating the required compensatory posts under SSA/RMSA. These posts would be filled up by candidates from “eastern Nagaland” through district level recruitment boards to be constituted in each of the four districts. The only exception is in the case of teachers’ posts for subjects such as science and mathematics, where suitable candidates from “eastern Nagaland” are not available, the State said.
