ENSF TO INTENSIFY AGITATION :The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has said its agitation against the School Education department would lead to “harsher and more complicated” moves.
The ENSF informed today of its 3rd phase of agitations scheduled to begin on August 13, 2011.“The federation anticipates that the failure of the department and the state government to address and fulfill the five point charter of demands at the earliest would compel the ENSF to initiate its 3rd phase of agitation which will assume and undertake different forms and nature and will be prolonged further with wide ramifications,” stated a note from the ENSF today.
The first day of the second phase of agitations was successful in the four districts of Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire and Longleng the ENSF said “solely because of the active co-operation and sincere monitoring of the district administration and the Police department.”
“The federation seriously views that any further failure on the part of the government and the department to address and fulfill the five point charter of demands of the ENSF would lead to more grievances, complications and resentment of the general public towards the government and the department,” the ENSF said. The note was appended by the organization’s general secretary Changsang Soted. “The office of the ENSF states that the continuance of 2nd day (i.e 12th Aug. 2011) of the 2nd phase of agitation will further lead to harsher and more complicated 3rd phase of agitation which is tentatively fixed to be initiated/commence from/on 13th of August 2011,” the ENSF asserted in its note.
